CapCut Motion Graphics: Keyframing Lower Thirds & Callouts Natively

Why Create Motion Graphics Directly in CapCut?

While After Effects offers deep parametric control, building simple lower thirds, progress timers, and callout arrows inside CapCut saves massive amounts of round-trip rendering time for daily social edits.

Building an Animated Lower Third from Scratch

1. Add a solid color rectangle shape or rounded bar from Stickers > Shapes onto Track 2.
2. Add your Name and Title on Track 3 above the bar.
3. Select the shape bar, open Animation > In, and choose Slide Right (Duration: 0.4s).
4. Select the text layer, open Animation > In, and choose Typewriter or Fade In delayed by 0.2s.
5. Group both tracks into a Compound Clip so you can reposition the entire graphic anywhere on screen with one controller.

Creating a Top Retention Progress Bar

Add a thin 6px colored rectangle spanning the top of your 9:16 canvas. Set a Keyframe for Scale X at 0% on frame 1, and animate to 100% at the very last frame of your video. Viewers subconsciously stay engaged when they see visual progress towards completion.

Animated Arrow & Circle Callouts

Use animated vector arrows from our Creator PNG Packs paired with a soft pop SFX to highlight specific UI buttons or product features on screen.
